ASSETA - Blockchain based borderless crypto bank

Updated: Jan 29, 2018

ICO and product analysis

The good thing is Asseta already has a neat website so that you can see what their system offers. Overall, the ICO seems legit! Hopefully the project will prosper

We are looking into a new token called ASSETA, a project that aims to be the first major online blockchain-based crypto/fiat bank in Europe. The company is based in Lithuania. A small country in Europe, which seems to have started investing heavily in crypto currencies.

First things first: the ICO starts on Feb, 2nd, 2018 and ends about 25 days later. Early investors can buy AST tokens at 1300 tokens per 1 ETH. The normal price will be 1000 AST per 1 ETH afterwards.

So, let's take a look on what ASSETA offers, and what we could find about it:

The main pitch is, they have started to get proper licenses for operating a crypto-bank (upon which most governments seriously frown). They have already started the project, achieved a few milestones (I found some traces of it, I'll show you in a moment). Starting and operating a bank is some serious shit, so we must wait and see what will happen in near future.

“our parental company (the 100% shareholder of JSC "CRYPTO BANKAS") already owns a part (62% of shares) of the company (bank) which was granted with such license. So in the case that JSC "CRYPTO BANKAS" (ASSETA) will not be able to obtain such license, we will go with the banking license our companies group already has. In that case we'll merge these two companies (the process isn't simple, but this is the solution).” --Yu Chong, represantative
”We can go with other card providers [than VISA/MC networks] or we can go with our already owned banking license and agreement to issue payment cards. That way ASSETA will be the main platform to aggregate cryptocurrency and will have the gateway (our owned company with banking license) to the fiat currency operations..” --Yu Chong , representative

Is this ICO legit?

let's see: The website has info on the whereabouts of the company (or more likely where it's registered). There is a Company Business ID, many team members (Not much info on them) but let's see if the company is registered, and did they do anything upto now:

The company is registered in European Business Register

now let's see the documents:

Now I don't know much Lithuanian, but it seems like they do exist.

The ICO seems fair overall. The documents seem legit. ASSETA dev and admins also seem responsive and okay. Overall, I do recommend this ICO

If this project keeps reaching its milestones, we may see a good value in holding ASSETA.
